    <title>Open Standards and Portability</title>

      We adhere to <emphasis>Open Standards</emphasis> to achieve 
      <emphasis>portability</emphasis>. Published standards (such as
      <ulink role="xurl" url="http://www.w3c.org">
      <acronym>W3C</acronym> </ulink> standards) reduce
      coding workload and allow our projects to benefit from the labor of 
      others. Needless to mention that portability requires standards and 
      conformance. To ensure the portability of our projects, we avoid 
      proprietary technologies.

    <title>Cooperative Fashion Development</title>

      We believe in a <emphasis>Collaborative</emphasis> development efforts. 
      Our philosophy places the responsibility of creating, changing, and 
      improving projects in the hands of complete strangers linked only by the 
      Internet and their love of technology.

      We strongly believe in <emphasis>Quality</emphasis> and apply quality 
      control at each step of our projects. Our volunteer developers working 
      together deliver high-quality free software.  Of course, free wouldn't 
      count for much, if the software didn't work or didn't have the right 
      quality.
